Fun with spring football
They don’t count, but the spring football games certainly have generated quite a bit of interest in the area. And that’s a good thing. We’ve already seen some solid play from promising athletes. Coaches — as well as local fans — have plenty to evaluate over the next few months.
The spring season wraps up with a couple of big road games: Brian is covering Palm Bay at Dwyer tonight, and I will be in Orlando Friday night for the Cocoa-Dr. Phillips game. Dwyer handled Palm Bay in the playoffs last season. And Cocoa faces a school about three times it size — a team that was the 6A runner-up a season ago.
The last time I checked, it looked like Brian was getting a good game in Palm Beach Gardens. I’m hoping for the same in Orlando on Friday. If you can’t make the Cocoa game but would like to follow along, tune in here for live updates throughout the contest.
