Bartram Trail scored twice in the top of the first inning against Eau Gallie in the Class 4A state semifinals in Clermont.

At the end of two innings, it is still 2-0 Bartram Trail.

Power cord available now so I can see my screen. EG still trails, 2-0, after 3 innings. A bad hop got the first baserunner on for BT in the first and a double followed to get two in scoring position.
Alex Powers hit one to deep right center for a third-inning double, but the Commodores could not bring her home.

BT has done nothing at the plate since the first. Still 2-0, EG behind, middle of the fourth at 12:44.

Rachel Engel single over SS to start the bottom of the fourth. Wiley sac bunts her to second; one out with Engel on second. Koller double to right center. Engel comes home. EG trails, 2-1. Cowen nice hit past 2B. Koller scores. Game tied with one out. Cowen takes second on overthrow. End of the fourth, 2-2, at 12:53.

Megan LaFon has struck out six of the last 12. All 1-2-3 innings for BT since the first. EG tied at 2, middle of the fifth.

Alex Powers doubles to lead off, goes to third on a Mattscheck bunt and scores on a fly to left by Crowther, who is safe because the ball is dropped. She’s now at third, Engel at first and two out. EG leads, 3-2. Now it’s 4-2 off a Koller RBI, her second. End of fifth.

No baserunners for BT since the first. Middle of sixth, EG leads, 4-2, at 1:14.

EG nothing in the sixth. Going to the seventh. EG is three outs from playing for the 4A title.

BT has runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out. Eau Gallie keeps them from scoring and wins it 4-2. Will play for the state title tomorrow at 4 p.m.
